Upon graduating from Sam Rayburn High School in Pasadena, I attended Howard Payne University on a music scholarship. (Sting ‘em Jackets!) Although I love music and love singing, I knew that I wanted to help children learn. I was a student that struggled in school, so I know how difficult it can be!
I have a Bachelor’s in Education with a concentration in Reading and Speech . This allows me to teach grades 1-6 all subjects and ELA 4-8. I am also certified in ESL K-12 and Special Education K-12.
I started at Livingston Junior High in the fall of 2014 teaching 7th grade ELA. This is my 3rd year in the district and I am currently teaching 7th grade writing.
I have been in education for 21 years, and still love it today! I have taught grades 4-7 i Language Arts, and have taught Music, Art and Drama. I also taught 2 years in the alternative behavior class, with 7th and 8th grade students! I love my job and look forward to another exciting year!
